Catch My Focus on the Family Interview Today

I recently had the amazing opportunity to travel to the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs to record an episode for their radio broadcast on “How to Raise Strong Believers.” It airs TODAY on hundreds of radio stations across the country. There are several ways you can hear it:

  • If you’d like to catch it on live radio, there is a station finder here.
  • If you’d like to listen online, you can do so here.
  • If you have a podcast player, you can play the most recent episode of the Focus on the Family podcast.
  • If you want to watch rather than listen, you can click the link below to see it on YouTube.

Thanks in advance for checking it out! Please share with parents, grandparents, and others who are interested in raising kids with a confident faith in a secular world.

I really enjoyed the video. You mentioned that children/teens sometimes reject or fall away from their faith because they have been hurt by another Christian. This happened to my son, who went to a Christian School, and had a BSF leader for a mom (me) who shared her faith and reasoning with him. He was hurt by a youth Pastor who felt he was not “genuine” and he was hurt by the so called “perfect Christian friends” at his school…but they were not perfect, they just got away with a lot of things. As a result, he wants nothing to do with Christians because they are hypocrites. I would love it if you would address this in your blog (he is married now, but if you address this it may help other parents speak to the issue of “hypocrisy”).

Paula, did you ever receive a reply? Your question and situation is exactly what my children have gone through. Christian school (I was even a teacher at the school), hurt by the pastor’s kids who all now have a relationship with the LORD and mine do not. I’d love to know if You ever received a reply. Thank you!

P.S. Natasha…heard the broadcast and bought the book … so I can have answers and wisdom for my grandchildren. Cannot wait to read…and study…and learn. Thank you!

    Hello Natasha,
Talk about DIVINE appointments. I was running a bit late to work but turned on Focus, and there you were. Your insight and clarity were a timely tool, and I bought one of your books a bit later. I thank God for the work he is doing through you! I texted my friends to listen in.
    Blessings!
    Susan

I caught your broadcast while enroute to work (interrupted here and there while dropping my child off at my mom’s and picking up Starbucks, so I will be watching this later in full) and was really encouraged. I immediately came on here and looked up your posts, skimmed through some and added a ton of your Christmas gifts to my list on Amazon. I agree with so much of what you say on here! Thank you so much.

I had never heard of your blog and came across it by listening to you on Focus on the Family app. Your message was perfect timing as I teach at a Catholic school and some students have been asking some very intelligent questions that I need help answering. I bought your book immediatly and can’t wait to read it.

Is there one of your books that should be read first?

Heard you on the podcast and loved it and everything you had to say! May God continue to use you in this 🙂
